And the winner was Colin Watkins. Everyone agreed that Colin's escorted tour of the Musicals was a "tour de force", not only his depth of knowledge, his enthusiasm and love of musicals all shone through. Some marvellous selections and encouragement for the room to join in, wonderful. Thanks go to David for his assistance with the technology and preparation of the quiz sheets. One table of "clever dicks" beat all the others but the winnings were then donated to the Captains's charities. Other winners included Lorna Chandler, £105.00, Val Pinfold, £43.00 and Romanye Instone, £22.00, obviously a girlie night, in the 200 Club. Barney Barnes was the name in the Free Draw but as there was no sight or sound, there is a roll over to £50.00 for the January draw. Fred Cufflin held the drawn raffle ticket and he chose Treasure Chest key number 8 (without hesitation) only problem was it was key 17! Just a £10.00 consolation prize I'm afraid. Wendy Thompson is £20.00 richer courtesy of West Bromwich Albion on the footie card. Thanks as always to Wendy and the crew for the meal. Thanks to David for his MC role. Thanks to Fred behind the bar and the other helpers who cleared the glasses and fed the washer. Thanks to all the members who came along to support the event and who had a very enjoyable evening. Last but by no means least, thanks to those members who set up the room and restored it to it's original state afterwards, unsung heroes!
