History of the Exclusives Changed the name to the Seniors 2023
They appear to have been started as an official group in about 1990. The first official captain was Roy Spavoid (deceased) who was chairman of the greens under Tony Lee's captaincy in 1990
He was followed by Tony Lee in 1992 who attempted to formalise the Exclusives by producing a 'modus operadi'. This required that members be over 60 or if under be admitted at the discretion of the Exclusives commitee which comprised of captain, vice captain, treasurer and match secretary who were elected at the agm held every January each year.
At the time of it's inception anyone joining the Exclusives was required to pay a subscription, but this was latter dropped when the club committee deemed this to be a club within a club
However the Exclusives remained very popular during the 1990's and up until 1997 members were listed and limited to 80 in number. To join the Exclusives required completing an application form and join a waiting list.
Throughout it's existance the Exclusives have played monthly stablefords and 20-24 matches against other clubs.
