New Pro

Hello everyone, I’m Jamie Taylor the new professional for NWGC and I’m very much looking forward to getting to know you all. I have previously worked at Olton Golf Club as Assistant Professional for 9 years before moving from there to Dudley Golf Club as Head Profesional in 2017.

Golf is set to finally return on the 29th of this month (All being well) and I’m very much looking forward to meeting you all and playing some golf.

With the shop refurb well underway and the new buggy park area completed along with the brand new buggies, the club have been very busy during lockdown readying ourselves for your return.

Please pop by the Pro Shop to say hello and pick up your free bag of wooden tees courtesy of the club to help drive the clubs initiative of becoming plastic free.

Unfortunately the shop cannot officially open until 12th April but I am able to offer an “Order & Collect” service - if there is anything you need to get yourself ready for the golfing season please let me know, I do offer price match where possible.
For any enquires please contact me on

The good news is that I can teach on a one to one basis and offer group lessons to a maximum of 5 people from the 29th March. Please register your interest with me for group lessons and I will try and accommodate everybody’s availability.
Individual lessons will cost £25 or a block booking of 5 lessons will cost £100.

Thanks for your time, the wait is nearly over!

Back To Golf

As we all know, we can start playing golf on Monday the 29th of March. For the first two weeks we are going to play four ball nine hole golf. No competitions, no societies, visitors or guests, giving every member a chance to play. The tee sheets will be released two weeks prior to the the date of play at 8.00am in the morning. For example, on Monday 29th March, the tee sheet will be ready to book from 8.00am on Monday 15th March. After two weeks, we will start competitions and you need to look at the diary to see what is happening.

Car Park

Whatever the weather our new car park should be able to cope. Last year the green staff had to tow a number of members' cars out of the mud. Since then the whole area has been dug out and filled with hardcore making it much safer to use. All the hardcore and the roller to flatten it was provided free of charge from NRS, the firm that digs out the sand and gravel round us. Many thanks as it would have cost at least eight to ten thousand pounds.

New Members

New Members

With the new golfing year starting on the 1st April we always lose 20 to 25 members, for various reasons. They regrettably pass away, they leave the area, give up golf or join another golf club. This happens every year. As a result of this we are inviting members from our waiting list to join so we will have a full membership at the start of the golfing year.
If you know anyone who would like to join contact Trish Lockie, Membership Secretary, on 02476673705.

Buggy Port

The buggy port and trolley shed are now both complete. A light is being fitted in the trolley shed along with a lock on the door for security reasons. Members wishing to store their trolley in the shed must contact the office and be issued with a hook number and the combination to the lock. The cost will be £20 per year. This will be added on to your subs.
