A huge thank you to all who contributed towards a successful Captains Day event.

The joyful atmosphere around the club was good to see as everyone looked like they were having a good time.

Thank you to the Greenstaff for the excellent course condition , Debbie and her catering team for the delicious food, our club Pro Jamie for his contribution on the Beat the Pro event and everyone else who helped out on the day.

Thank you to all the members who donated prizes for the event and all who purchased raffle tickets and Mulligan vouchers on the day.

Over £800 was raised for the Captains Charity , The British Heart Foundation.

The Howitt Bowl has been won by one of our members, Dean Sparrow. Well done Dean! you are the first member to do it since 2001.
A full field took to the course on Saturday to play in the prestigious competition which has been played at North Warwickshire Golf Club since 1898. It attracts top amateurs from all around the Midlands.
After 36 holes we had two players on the same score Dean Sparrow and Rob Bardsley, so a four hole play off took place with Dean scoring a birdie on the fourth hole to take the trophy.

The nett score on Saturday was won by two Club Members Richard Keegan and Dave Thornton 143 over two rounds.

Robert Oddy from Copsewood GC scored a Hole in One (albatross) on the par 4, 7th hole whilst playing the Howitt Bowl.

18 ladies, sporting festive outfits & illuminated trolleys, played in the Christmas Hamper Competition.

Some feedback on what was a truly special day for us on Sunday the 19th October .Our last golf society day and presentation of the season. We have been raising monies for my dad’s chosen charity this year on each golf society day for Pancreatic Cancer Trust UK and we managed to raise an amazing £1600 throughout the year ,but what made our day so special was how the day was set up .A massive thank you to the people who set the course up, the Greenkeepers, Jamie the Pro and Kim the caterer. The course was set up lovely, and the lads also put in our requested white line on the 18th fairway Jamie has been brilliant throughout, donating prizes for raffles on our days and making sure all was good to go yesterday And then finally Kim.. What can I say, she put on some amazing food throughout our day starting with 25 bacons baps for breakfast before 1st tee off then when we came in after a rain soaked round (the only let down) we came into a lovely room set up to accommodate 30 guests and an amazing Carvey which all thoroughly enjoyed and she also made 3 cakes, which many took two slices!She also donated a cake voucher to our raffle table. So, all in all a top-class day. We as members were super proud of all that went on.We had a representative from Pancreatic Cancer Trust UK to present the cheque to.Once again, thank you all from myself Jason and all our John Coffey golf society members.
