- OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 18.2).
Out of bounds is defined by the line between the course-side points at ground level of white stakes and fence posts. Beyond any hedge defining the boundary of the course and the course-side edge of any painted white line defining the boundary of the course.
- IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS.
Relief from interference by any immovable obstruction may be taken under Rule 16.1. In addition to the types of interference described in Rule 16.1a, when a ball lies in the general area, interference also exists if an immovable obstruction is; on the players line of play, is within two club-lengths of the putting green and is within two club-lengths of the ball. The player may take relief under Rule 16.b.
- NO PLAY ZONES.
- Any area encircled with a blue line and any cultivated flower beds.
- Young trees identified by wrapping, stakes or otherwise protected are no play zones:
If a player’s ball lies on or touches such a tree or the tree interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, the player must take relief under Rule 16.1f.
- TRANSPORTATION (Club Competitions Only).
During a competition round a player must not ride on any form of motorised transport except as approved by the Competition Secretary.
- PROCEDURE FOR SUSPENSION AND RESUMPTION OF PLAY.
A suspension of play for a dangerous situation will be signalled by a prolonged note of a horn. All other suspensions will be signalled by three consecutive notes of a horn. In either case, resumption of play will be signalled by two short notes of a horn, (repeated). See Rule 5.7b.
